Northline is a Canadian-made window brand, which is a genuine advantage for our climate. Windows manufactured domestically are typically engineered with Canadian winters in mind — meaning the seals, frames, and glazing are tested for the kind of temperature swings Ottawa sees, from -30°C in January to +35°C in August. That thermal cycling is brutal on windows, and locally-made products tend to hold up better than imports not designed for our conditions.

When evaluating any replacement window for Ottawa, there are a few key specs worth focusing on.
